Cousandra Armstrong
Biography
I attended City College in Chicago and soon after developed a career in Finance and Investment. I worked in this field for more than 25 years before pursuing photography. I am now a free lance photographer specializing in nature, portrait photography and creative abstracts. I often walk in the woods to get in touch with myself while seeking solace and enjoying and capturing nature's contribution to life. I have been a curator of exhibits and have exhibited in many shows in Chicago, Indiana and the south suburbs of Chicago.
I have always been interested in art. I love the idea of being able to look at what was on a canvas and see what an artist has to say about life through art. For me, to be able to put into view the past, the present and the future, is truly a gift.

“Photography has become an avenue of passage for me. It is an experience along with a freedom that allows me to capture my surroundings as I go about my everyday movements. I see many subjects that interest me. I see scenes, I see people, I see buildings and I see nature, very much apart and very much together.
Everything that I see illuminates color and black and white images. I see the beauty and the blending with nature and humanity. I can feel the energy of life that has been granted and the settlement of routine. I hope to bring into view what is constant and often overlooked.
My work is a play of color, focus, shadow, and light, sometimes all mixed together. I would like viewers of my work to become more aware of everyday changes as I see and share my picture of life from the lens of my camera.”
