Collaborations
Introduction
The Black Cultural Center thrives on meaningful partnerships that honor the rich histories, creative expressions, and lived experiences of the Black diaspora. By bridging inquiry, culture, art, and engagement, we create dynamic opportunities for shared learning and growth. We invite both campus and community organizations to build intentional, transformative collaborations with us.
Campus Collaborations
We actively partner with UIC academic departments, student organizations, and various UI System partners to enrich campus life and deepen scholarly dialogue.

Community Collaborations
To maintain the focus of our organizational mission, the Black Cultural Center is especially invested in translating academic research and first-voice experiences of the diaspora into creative, informative, engaging and accessible formats. These include: Story collecting and story sharing activities, intercultural and civic dialogues, workshops, seminars, performances, and lecture-demonstrations. We aim to build meaningful, reciprocal partnerships with local organizations, artists, and leaders.
